Description 

APDS-9930 is a digital I2C compatible interface ambient light sensor (ALS) and proximity sensor with IR LED in a single 8-pin package. The ambient light sensor utilizes dual photodiodes to approximate the human eye response with a low lux performance at 0.01 lux. This high sensitivity allows for the device to operate behind a darkened glass. The proximity sensor is fully calibrated to detection of objects to 100 mm thus eliminating the need for factory calibration of the end equipment or sub-assembly. The proximity detection feature operates well from bright sunlight to dark rooms. The addition of the micro-optics lenses within the module, provide highly efficient transmission and reception of infrared energy which lowers overall power dissipation. In addition, an internal state machine provides the ability to put the device into a low power mode in between ALS and proximity measurements providing very low average power consumption.

The proximity detection feature operates well from bright sunlight to dark rooms. The wide dynamic range also allows for operation in short distance detection behind dark glass such as a cell phone.

Shipping Policies:


To ensure that your order reaches you in the fastest time possible and in good condition, we ship our goods only through DELHIVERY, DTDC, and SPEEDPOST.


Depending upon the weight and destination, the shop will automatically calculate shipping charges for the order (refer to Shipping Charges for more details). It normally takes 1-10 days to reach any location in India.


Our team strives to ship all items in your order together but this might not be possible at all times due to the property or availability of the products, in either case, we will inform the customer before proceeding with the shipment.


Shipping Time & Delivery:


Orders Placed up to 4:00 PM will be packed and shipped on the same day.


Local Pickups for packages are available till 6:00 PM. We also offer hyper delivery for orders placed until 3:00 PM in Kochi within a 15km radius of the store.


We make our best efforts to pack and ship the orders on the same day or within 24 hours from the time of receiving the order. Orders placed on Sundays will be shipped on Monday and orders placed on holidays will be shipped on the next working day.


Due to the pandemic, the government has imposed certain restrictions on the functioning of our delivery partners, hence a slight delay can be expected in transferring the packages to the concerned delivery partners.


Logistics partners guarantee delivery of packages within 1-10 days anywhere in India. It is beyond our control if there are any further delays. Each of our shipping partners have their own method of delivery and intermediate transit hubs to each location. 

As a result, the exact time of delivery is not predictable, hence,  we request all our customers to plan their orders accordingly, allowing sufficient time for the package to reach you.


Warranty & Damage in Transit:


All items are delivered with a standard warranty of a minimum of 7 days (unless otherwise specified on the product page) to protect the customers from any manufacturing defect.

If you have any problems with your order, please notify us about it within this duration, from the date of delivery of the product. We will replace or repair the damaged products free of cost with shipping costs borne by Tomson Electronics. In case, we do not have the product in stock to provide a replacement and the customer is no longer in a position to wait, we will issue a 100% refund.


If you find that the package delivered has been tampered with or damaged, and feel that it might have caused damage to the product inside, you must click a picture of the package, refuse to accept the delivery and inform our Customer Care +91 8606650999 along with your order number. We will make our best efforts to ensure a replacement delivery at the earliest.


For a damaged product to be exchanged:


  1. Please send us the photos of the product. 
  2. We will estimate the damages, then decide the best way to exchange or return the product.
  3. If the particular item is not in stock for replacement and the customer is no longer in a position to wait, we will provide a full refund.

Furthermore, no warranty will apply if the product has been subjected to misuse, static discharge, neglect, accident, modification, or has been soldered or altered in any way. Order Cancellation:


Canceling an order may attract 5% bank charges depending on the payment methods used by the customer (most payment gateway providers collect a commission even when the order has been canceled and refunded). Due to the nature of the products and the competitive prices that we offer we are unable to provide order cancellation and return without our strict valid examination.


Return:


We make our best efforts to provide accurate descriptions and the best quality products as mentioned on the website. Generally, our webstore predicts accurate shipping charges but in the case of any problem or error, we may recalculate shipping charges and will only dispatch such orders after acceptance from you. If you are not accepting the shipping charges, you will get a full refund.
