L293 Motor Shield for Arduino
The Arduino Motor Shield is based on the L298 , which is a dual full-bridge driver designed to drive inductive loads such as relays, solenoids, DC and stepping motors. It lets you drive two DC motors with your Arduino board, controlling the speed and direction of each one independently.
The Arduino Motor Shield is based on the L293D, which is a Half-bridge driver designed to drive inductive loads such as relays, solenoids, DC and stepping motors. It lets you drive two DC motors with your Robomart Arduino board, controlling the speed and direction of each one independently. You can also measure the motor current absorption of each motor, among other features. The shield is also compatible with DTMF module, which means you can quickly create projects by plugging DTMF modules to the board.
This dual bidirectional motor driver, from Tomson Electronics,Kochi, Kerala, India, is based on the very popular L293D Dual H-Bridge Motor Driver Integrated Circuit. The circuit will allow you to easily and independently control two motors of up to 0.6A each in both directions.It is ideal for robotic applications and well suited for connection to an Arduino or Raspberry Pi requiring just a couple of control lines per motor. It can also be interfaced with simple manual switches, TTL logic gates, relays, etc.
